Hi I'm married and do married things like make stuff.

Pita ate her donut bed, so I made her a new one.

The concept was great. Materials fantastic. My execution, however, leaves much to be desired. Everything was cake up until I had to upholster the damn thing. I was a little too ambitious and thought I could upholster the sofa with one piece and have a really great streamlined look. It looked awful so I made a little pillow to cover my mistakes.

It will have to do for now. She must like it, it's only been done for 5 minutes ...

The Normandie Hotel

"A tale of true love, the story behind the Normandie Hotel is romantic enough to give the Horned Dorset a run for its money. Take a look at the hotel's facade and you'll notice it is designed like an ocean liner. Built in 1942, the hotel was the inspiration of Puerto-Rican born engineer Felix Benitez Rexach, who made it for his wife, Lucienne (Moineau) Dhotelle. The couple had met aboard the SS Normandie, en route from France to New York, and fell in love during the voyage. Years later, when the ship sank, Rexach decided to build a hotel that resembled the Normandie as a monument to his love."
